Reds boss Simon Davey has today been linked with the vacant managerial post at struggling Nottingham Forest.
Forest- who won 3-2 at Norwich today sacked Colin Calderwood on Boxing Day after a humiliating 4-2 home reverse against Doncaster and now Davey's name has been put onto a list that also includes Billy Davies, Nigel Clough and Joe Royle.
The Sunday People Reports
Nottingham Forest are ready to make a shock move for Barnsley boss Simon Davey to succeed their axed manager Colin Calderwood.
Chairman Nigel Doughty is an admirer of the work Dave has done on a shoe-string at Oakwell and is poised to make a formal approach to speak to him.
Davey took Barnsley the FA Cup Semi-Final last season and has lifted them to mid-table in the Championship, but he only has a small budget- and Forest is potentially a much bigger club.
In the post match press conference today Davey said he loved being manager of Barnsley Football Club and would continue to hold the post until somebody else told him differently.
