Barnsley Player of the Year Hugo Colace could be set for a dramatic switch to Leicester City, to join up with the man who has chased him all summer- Paulo Sousa.
The Argentine is now a free agent after turning down the offer of a new contract at Oakwell and looked set to seal a switch to Swansea City. That deal looked in doubt however when the Swans manager Sousa defected for Leicester City, to replace Nigel Pearson who jumped ship to Hull.
Today the Sunday People claims that Sousa still harbours interest in Colace and could bring him to the Walkers Stadium to join last season’s beaten Play-Off Semi-Finalists.
The People reports:
"New Leicester boss Paulo Sousa wants to recruit Barnsley midfielder Hugo Colace. Argentinean Colace was the Tykes’ Player of the Year last season and was set for a move to Swansea.
However Sousa’s departure halted that deal and the 26 year old may now join him at the Walkers Stadium.”
