Today's Daily Mirror has reported veteran centre half Chris Lucketti is set to snub both Barnsley and Hull to sign a new two year contract at Sheffield United after the Blades relegation was finally confirmed yesterday.

In the Premiership, Lucketti, 35 made just 9 appearances and if the Blades were granted a stay in the Premiership he would move down to the Championship and has held talks at both the KC Stadium and Oakwell.

But according to the Mirror, New United boss Bryan Robson is likely to keep him, just like they tried to do with Rob Kozluk who rejected a last gasp bid from United and opted to join The Reds.

Daily Mirror Report:

Veteran Chris Lucketti is signing a two year deal at Bramall Lane - after Robson talked him into staying. Lucketti had been cleared to speak to Hull City.
