Clubcall.com claims that the Reds are interested in signing Rotherham United's Scottish left midfielder Martin Woods. He has skill and pace and has attracted quite a bit of attention but Rotherham will demand a fee for the 21-year-old.
Woods has had previous experience at Sunderland, Leeds and Hartlepool United and remained in the north when he signed for the Millers, will he keep the trend going and sign for the Reds? Time will tell.

Former-Reds loanee Lewin Nyatanga has said he is looking towards a Premiership future with Derby County despite speculation linking him with a loan move back to Oakwell. Nyatanga spent 11 games on loan at Barnsley and assisted in our survival from relegation.
He said: "I have a year left on my contract and we will see where we go from here. I want to play for Derby in the Premiership, that is my intention."
The Sheffield Star has also said today that the Reds will demand a fee for left back Robbie Williams should Blackpool come knocking for the 22-year-old's permanant services.
If Williams does move to Blackpool, the Reds will be entitled to compensation as he is below the age of 24. The Pontefract born defender has a contract offer waiting at Oakwell for him but there has been no news on it.
