In this match Gray notched the 100th and 101st goals of his career. It is the first time the striker has notched more than one in a game since March and is only the second time this season The Reds have scored more than once in a game. This, only Barnsley’s second win over Coventry in 14 meetings extends the club’s unbeaten run to seven matches- their longest unbeaten record in two years.
Unfortunately though for the third successive match, The Reds were forced into a first half change through injury as Bobby Hassell went off with a groin strain.
Ironically the team are at the same stage as they were this time last year- 12 points from 10 games, but with a –3 goal difference compared to 0 this term.
