The win over Darren Ferguson’s side was their sixth win in seven meetings with the Posh.
Nathan Doyle was shown a straight red card in the 32nd minute- only Barnsley’s second dismissal of the season and their first straight red since Paul McShane’s at Middlesbrough 11 months ago.
