Barnsley have refused to allow their FA Cup first round tie with Altrincham to be moved, invoking the ire of the non-league outfit.
According to a statement from their twitter feed, the FA had chosen the tie to be one of eight to be given a live single camera feed. To achieve this, the tie would be moved to the Sunday (8th November) with a 2pm kick off and the FA would compensate both clubs with £12,500.
However The Reds have refused to move the tie from the Saturday as prior to this game they play on the Saturday (this weekend at Scunthorpe) on the Tuesday (at Coventry) and the following Tuesday (against York) so did not want to change the Saturday-Tuesday routine in order to give the players enough rest time.
Due to the FA choosing this as a single camera feed rather than a live TV game, both clubs have to agree to the move.
