It is a strange league this year and I think that it really will go right down to the wire. We have been so dominant again this afternoon but could not finish them off and at one nil there is always going to be a chance that you could get punished.
We were not playing the Dog and Duck and Chesterfield are a professional outfit so there is always going to be the chance that they will score when their opportunity comes. A one goal lead is always vulnerable but again we had the chances to put them out of their misery.
We are a young side and the lads have done fantastically well over the last 12 months to get us where we are. They are doing this town proud and are still in there fighting for promotion.
We should have killed them off but that result has been endemic of our season really and we created a lot of chances. This is a young team and it will come right - it might do so at Oldham next week.
We are more than capable of winning our next five matches to give us a chance of finishing in the top two. There are still 15 points to play for and the good thing is that we have had a real bad patch but we are still in the top six. We are still going for it.
It really should have been three points this afternoon and we have blown it init in regards to winning the game. We are back in the playoffs and there is still a long way to go. We will be going all guns blazing to win our next five matches.
We will work hard all week and go to Oldham to get three points. A draw is not really good enough for us there and both Andy and I desperately want to put the Indian sign on them next Saturday
Barnsley Boy says: Rick Holden there speaking the blatant obvious. The fact is we need to start winning ONE game never mind all five, because for the last 6 weeks every game has been a “cup final with anything less than 3 points unacceptable” according to the club and yet we have failed to win any of them
