The Reds today confirmed that Michael Spinks has left after 25 years service and has been replaced by his former assistant Mr Chris Patzelt as company and club secretary.
Chris told the Barnsley Official Website: "I want to make sure that the good work of the past continues and I firmly believe that the club is rebuilding with new ideas, a new strength and a new vibrancy. Hopefully the new enthusiasm around Oakwell will continue through the Club and onto the pitch as well.
"My role is to control all of the administrative aspects of the company and report directly to Sean Lewis".
