Barnsley have today signed 20 year old midfielder Otis Khan after his release from neighbours Sheffield United.
The right-sided player came through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane, signing professional terms in the summer of 2013.
However he made only two substitute appearances for the Blades in March and April 2014 and spent time on loan at Conference side Barrow this season where he scored four times in six league starts.
Khan who had been on trial at Oakwell last week and has penned an 18-month contract will wear the number 19 shirt.
Meanwhile whilst one player has come through the door, one has gone out on loan. Goalkeeper Jack Walton has joined Conference North side Stalybridge Celtic on a 28-day youth loan.
The 17 year old who was Barnsley’s Academy Player of the Year last season is contracted to the Reds until the summer of 2018 and is yet to make his professional debut.
