Richards scored against Forest in the reserves Wednesday night and is pushing for a place.
Bobby Hassell and Daniel Nardiello are also set to return. Nardiello is expected to replace Barry Conlon in the starting line-up whilst Hassell may have to contend with the bench.
Stephen McPhail faces a late fitness test.
