Forest manager Philippe Montanier said:

“I am very happy. It is the first victory away but we need points. We know it is good to have a good reaction and the victory is great for the confidence but we know that we have to continue.

“We wanted the clean sheet and we only conceded two shots on target. We needed that and the players defended with great commitment.

“The players played really well and the games before, for me, were very frustrating as we need points and results. It was the same with Reading and QPR as we showed good performances but we needed to be more efficient and tonight we were.

“We had nine shots on target and scored two goals. We needed a bit more of a defensive mentality after and we did that.”
