"It was directed at the man from the Barnsley Chronicle, he's written stories and made little comments that have been negative about the lads and the club," he said.
"I remember last season Glyn Hodges pushed me forward for the last 20 minutes of a game to try and get a late goal and he wrote then that I'm no striker, he's written it again since.
"Sure, I'm not a striker. I'm a right-winger. But he's offside making some of the remarks he has."
