"At this moment I know the team I'd like to put out on Saturday, but as I said, we're always on the lookout."
Meanwhile, midfielder Chris Lumsdon who had a also had a trial at Hartlepool in the summer is now poised to join Carlisle United after impressing in a couple of friendlies for the Cumbrians.
Carlisle manager Paul Simpson said Lumsdon is currently negotiating a pay-off with the Reds.
He added: “I’ve spoken to Chris and he would like to come here and I am keen on adding him to my squad.
“I’ve been very impressed with his attitude during his time with us. He is an excellent athlete and he will get a lot better when he builds his fitness up. He is a long way behind the rest of the lads here as he hasn’t been involved at Barnsley during the summer, but he is a good footballer.
“I’m trying to speak to Barnsley manager Paul Hart to discuss when his contract will be settled with them, and then we’ll see if we can offer Chris a package that attracts him.”
