Blackpool 0-0 Barnsley

Last updated : 10 January 2017 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)
Barnsley will play in a FA Cup replay for only the second time in 10 years, they have won eight of the last 14 they have been involved in over the last 27 years.

Barnsley failed to score for only the second time in nine matches in all competitions.

The Reds have lost only one of their past seven away matches (all comps)

Barnsley kept an away clean sheet in the third round of the FA Cup for the first time in 18 years- 10 matches. This was a goal-less draw at Swindon in 1999, and The Reds went on to win the replay 3-1 at Oakwell.

This was the third successive Barnsley FA Cup tie that was goal-less at half time.

Barnsley will go into the hat for the fourth round draw for the first time since 2012-2013 when they went on to reach the quarter-finals.

It was Barnsley’s third 0-0 of the season.

Barnsley are now unbeaten in four meetings with Blackpool and have lost only one of the last eight. That came courtesy of a Scott Golbourne og, the last Tangerine player to score a winner was Matt Phillips in 2011.
