Barnsley are this morning counting the cost of replaying the game with Plymouth last night as top scorer Daniel Bogdanovic and defender Ryan Shotton are set for spells on the sidelines.
Bogdanovic, who has hit 14 goals this season, pulled up with the hamstring injury that benched him for the start of the Doncaster game at the weekend, and had to come off five minutes before half-time last night. The early prognosis on the Maltese international is that he is a major doubt for the South Yorkshire derby at Sheffield United at the weekend.
Meanwhile Shotton collected his tenth booking of the season in the final minute and must now serve a two match suspension. Amazingly the 21 year old has picked up 10 yellow cards and two reds in his 28 games for Barnsley and has been booked in three of the last four games.
