Barnsley’s FA Cup Second Round Replay with Chester will be screened live on BT Sport with the winners earning a home tie with Championship side Middlesbrough in the Third Round.
The Reds who were held to a goal-less draw by Conference outfit Chester yesterday afternoon will travel to the Deva Stadium on Tuesday 16th December kicking off at 7:45pm with the BT cameras in attendance.
The Reds are unbeaten in their last three trips to Chester.
The winners will face Championship high fliers Middlesbrough at home. Aitor Karanka’s side sit in fourth place in the Championship and have won six of their 10 away matches this season, losing just twice.
Barnsley who are aiming for a third successive home FA Cup tie for the first time since 2005-2006 won only five home games in the Championship last season, one of which was against Middlesbrough, however it was a 3-1 defeat at the Riverside Stadium in April that confirmed Danny Wilson’s side to relegation.
Chester will be looking to face Middlesbrough for the first time since 1997. Boro have won three of their four meetings overall.
