A clause in the Chis Barker transfer to Cardiff has given the cash strapped Reds a vital boost which should allow the club to emerge from administration at the end of May.
Barnsley will recieve an extra £100,000 on top of the £500,000 fee which Cardiff paid for the young defender before the start of the season.
Barker played well in Cardiff's extra time victory over QPR and has been a regular in the Bluebirds first team this season.
Former Barnsley striker Kevin Gallen played in QPR's defeat.
