Striker Chris Dagnall has completed a loan move to Barnsley’s West Yorkshire rivals Bradford City until the end of the season.
The 25 year old was only signed by Keith Hill in January, for an undisclosed fee from Scunthorpe United but has struggled to impress in the Championship, failing to find the net in any of his nine appearances.
The former Tranmere and Rochdale man will now attempt to find his goal-scoring form with League Two Bradford. The move comes as something of a surprise as Hill was quoted only this week as saying he would not give up on Dagnall but did admit it might be next season before the Oakwell faithful saw the best of a striker who netted 66 times in 129 games under Hill at Rochdale.
Meanwhile defender Lee Collins has completed his initial loan move from Port Vale and is set to go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s visit of Reading.
