Devante Cole is set to return to Manchester City following the end of his loan spell at Oakwell.
The 19-year-old son of former Manchester United legend Andy Cole has enjoyed a largely successful four months with The Reds after arriving in August.
Cole netted his first ever senior goal in a 4-1 victory over Gillingham on only his second appearance and scored another six times in 22 games, including in his final appearance, a 2-0 win over Leyton Orient on the 20th December.
There had been hope amongst the Oakwell hierarchy that Cole’s loan may be extended until the end of the season but the striker all but confirmed today on Twitter that he would be returning to the English champions.
