Doncaster Rovers captain Michael McIndoe is rumoured to be at Oakwell this week for talks to sign for the club in a £125k move.
McIndoe who finished last season on loan at Derby County after handing in a transfer request at Belle Vue.
The Club is yet to comment on the speculation.
Meanwhile Barnsley have admitted defeat in the race to sign Aston Villa's Peter Whittingham. The midfielder is now set to sign for another Championship club.
