Swindon Town striker Rory Fallon has today completed a 300,000 switch to promotion chasing Swansea City
This now means Barnsley will receive around 50,000 as they put in a sell-on clause when he moved to Swindon for 60,000 back in 2003.
Gordon Shepherd told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
" I am sure every Barnsley supporter would want to wish Rory every success with his move to the Liberty Stadium.
Fortunately Gudjon Thordarson had the foresight to insist on a sell on clause in the transfer agreement taking Rory to Swindon back in 2003 so Barnsley FC would benefit financially from any future deal.
To make things crystal clear the sell on clause in the agreement is 20 per cent of any transfer fee over 50,000. Barnsley Football Club will therefore benefit to the tune of 50,000
