From the Sheffield Star
Bristol Rovers manager Ray Graydon has paid tribute to veteran striker Andy Rammell who has been forced to quit the club because of a knee injury.
The 36-year-old ex-Oakwell favourite has started just two games for Rovers this season, will not play again this term after being told he requires further surgery.
And, although the player has yet to decide on his future, Graydon expects Rammell to retire completely.
"I think he feels he has done enough and may turn his back on the game completely - he certainly won't be available for us again," Graydon said.
"I think if I have missed one player this season it would be Andy or an Andy type of player, and it is a sad loss for us."
