Dunfermline have given a trial to former Reds record signing Georgi Hristov.
The Macedonian international will spend the next few days at East End Park in a bid to secure a move to the Scottish Premierleague team.
Hristov was recently given a free transfer by FC Zwolle in Holland.
Pars boss Davie Hay said. "We're having a look at Georgi this week and we'll see how things go,".
"He picked up a knee injury recently and he hasn't played for a while but that's one of the reasons why we've set up the trial.
"But he's been capped by his country something like 48 times and he comes highly recommended.
"He says his injury is okay now and that his fitness is okay but we'll have a look at him for a few days and make a decision after that."
