Championship leaders West Ham United are trying to sign Barnsley’s leading scorer Ricardo Vaz Te.
The club confirmed today they had received and immediately turned down the offer for the 12 goal striker.
Reds director Don Rowing told the Star:
“The offer is derisory and we’ve turned it down, We’re still in talks with West Ham, so we’ll have to see if anything happens there.”
The Portuguese is out of contract in the summer and unless The Reds can tie him down to a new deal, or sell him this week, he is likely to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
