Barnsley's on loan winger Adam Hammill is eager to extend his loan at Oakwell into 2009-2010, if his Liverpool chances remain limited.
The 21 year old winger has been a revelation since arriving from Anfield in January and his current loan runs out this summer. But with Liverpool aiming for the Premier League title he realises his chances on Merseyside may be limited.
He told the Sheffield Star:
"I'm really enjoying my football at Barnsley, it's a great opportunity for me. I couldn't have asked for a better loan spell,"
"I've got two years left on my contract at Liverpool, but if the chance came along to stay at Barnsley for longer then I'd certainly consider it.
"Liverpool are flying at the minute and I know it's going to be hard to get in the side, but that's what I want to do one day. Whether that will be next season, who knows. But I'll go back at the end of the season and have to have a chat with Rafa and see what he says."
Meanwhile Oakwell is all set for a sell-out when Nottingham Forest visit on Saturday… at least in the home end! With home prices slashed to just £5, the club has today confirmed that the East Stand and Ponty End are COMPLETELY sold out, with a limited amount of tickets available in the West Stand.
As has been reported, Forest supporters must still pay the full £19 and it is believed they have so far sold around 3,300 tickets.
