Under pressure Reds manager Paul Hart has admitted the club are being dragged into a relegation fight.
Hart said: "Now we want to get enough points to make sure that we stay up, that's how close it's been. And it's ridiculous that we find ourselves in this situation."
"After going 13 games unbeaten, about eight of those we drew when we should have won, we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot.
"We've got to get to 50 points as quickly as possible. The next two games, Torquay and Peterborough, we've got to get about."
Hart surprisingly defended Tony Vaughan after his dismissal against Rovers last night, stressing that his skipper had played the ball.
"The referee (Uriah Rennie) is definitely a man of his own mind, that's been shown tonight."
Vaughan faces a four-game suspension, having been sent off once before this season.
