Hart's view on the Port Vale defeat

He said: "I know how we have lost the game but to be fair it is unbelievable after that first half display. It was down to poor defending and the fact that their keeper made two or three great saves. We were also guilty of poor finishing.

"We were bright, energetic so to say I am disappointed is an understatement.

"I thought we had two cast iron claims for a penalty before the one that was given. To be fair to Vale I also thought that the one that was given was the least clear of them all.

"We have to learn that defending is a 90 minute job but there were a lot of good things to dwell on this week".
