Mansfield's longest serving player Bobby Hassell is set to sign for the Reds next week when he returns from holiday.
The 24-year-old is out of contract with the Stags at the end of this month and is set to leave Field Mill after their Play-off final defeat to Huddersfield.
Hassell has made 181 appearances for Mansfield, and was offered a new contract by Keith Curle.
However, it is understood the right-back is keen to further his career and has agreed a deal in principle with Paul Hart's side.
