Healy was expected to sign a one year contract today and start on the bench against Cardiff on Saturday, but for reasons not yet disclosed Healy will not sign until after the weekend.
Meanwhile Barnsley's hopes of signing local boy Geoff Horsfield has been dashed, as he has left Sheffield United to join fellow Yorkshire and Championship rivals Leeds United on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
