Former Manchester City winger Kelvin Etuhu is set to be handed a career lifeline by Reds boss Keith Hill.
23-year-old Etuhu, the younger brother of Fulham's Dickson, was jailed for a brawl outside a Manchester casino in February 2010 and was sentenced to eight months in March of this year but has been let out early.
After being sentenced, Roberto Mancini terminated Etuhu's contract at Eastlands.
Now Hill is set to offer the Nigerian born winger-cum-striker another opportunity in football. He managed Etuhu when he took the then 19-year-old on loan to Rochdale where he netted twice in four games.
He has since spent time on loan with Leicester and Cardiff City.
