Reds striker Iain Hume could be on his way out of Oakwell after reports that Championship rivals Preston are weighing up a £200,000 bid.
Barnsley signed Hume from Leicester City in June 2008 for a fee that could rise to £1.2m but with the injury Hume sustained in November 2008 he won't have triggered those clauses.
The injury kept Hume out for nearly a year and really has affected his form as a player. Before the injury Hume netted 4 times in 15 games but has only managed 4 in 37 appearances after the injury.
There was rumours of a swap deal between the Reds and Preston involving Jon Parkin but they have been quashed after PNE said they wanted a cash or loan deal for the 'Beast'.
