The FA can confirm that it has not made a final decision regarding an incident involving Chris Morgan and Iain Hume during Barnsley's match against Sheffield United on Saturday 8 November.
Barnsley have informed The FA that the club will be submitting further evidence in relation to the incident and the matter remains open pending consideration of this evidence.
Morgan was shown a yellow card by referee Andy D'Urso for the challenge on Hume in the first half of the match.
In relation to a separate incident in the same game, Barnsley manager Simon Davey has been charged with improper conduct.
The charge relates to Davey's conduct towards the assistant referee late in the second half. Davey was asked to leave the technical area after protesting against the award of a penalty to Sheffield United.
Davey has until 28 November to respond to the charge.
