Iain Hume is expected to return home from hospital tomorrow evening after spending a week in the ward following his fractured skull injury.
Hume was rushed in for emergency surgery following the infamous incident with Sheffield United skipper Chris Morgan, the evidence of which, today, has been sent to the FA by Barnsley FC.
The legal representatives of Barnsley FC, Iain Hume and Club officials met today to discuss the issue and sent their dossier off to the FA.
Hume's agent Mickey Walsh told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"He's feeling better and we want him to get back to being with his family and being with his daughter that he's missed and get him back to family life."
Meanwhile, Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has jumped to the defence of his player, 9 days after the original incident. He told the Sheffield Star:
"Chris is a great leader, a great skipper and a first-class lad too. We know it and they know it at Barnsley."
Morgan was somehow only booked for the elbow, but the FA have the right to sanction Morgan further, with the exceptional case rule, and they have the ability to punish Morgan further if they deem the case as exceptional.
