Barnsley have today completed the signing of midfielder Michael McIndoe from fierece rivals Doncaster Rovers.

McIndoe who was captain at Belle Vue handed in a transfer request last season and finished it in the Championship at Derby County.

The transfer fee is undisclosed but beleived to be around the £125,000 mark with the Reds coffers boosted by the £500,000 sale of Scott Flinders.

McIndoe started his career at Luton but really hit the headlines at Rovers where he scored 35 goals in 142 apperances from the left-wing.

McIndoe has signed a two-year deal keeping him at Oakwell until 2008.

Michael will wear the number 10 shirt vacated by another Macca, Stephen McPhail.
