With no competitive action this weekend due to other club’s participation in the FA Cup Fourth Round, Barnsley have arranged a friendly with Dundalk in Ireland this Friday evening.
Dundalk, play in the League of Ireland Premier Division and finished second last season just three points off champions St Patrick’s, a major achievement considering they finished second bottom in 2012 and had to win a promotion/relegation play-off against Waterford to ensure they remained in the top flight.
The nine time champions were due to begin their pre-season with a fixture against Wexford Youths today but will now face The Reds on Friday instead.
The game kicks-off at 7pm and admission is €10 for adults and €5 for juveniles.
