Ireland goes North of the border again

Scottish Premierleague newcomers Falkirk have signed former Reds defender Craig Ireland on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old centre-half was released by Peterborough following their relegation to League Two.

Ireland has also had spells at Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Dundee, Airdrie, Notts County and Bristol City.

Ireland was released by Paul Hart despite coming second in the fans player of the season vote.
