Peterborough United have signed Craig Ireland after his release from Barnsley during the close season.
Craig, who played 50 times for the Reds last term said: 'I was pretty devastated to be released by Barnsley after playing almost 50 games for them, but that's the way football works. The new manager Paul Hart decided he wanted to bring his own players in and didn't want to keep me at the club.
'Things have been going well since I arrived here and it is great to be back playing after what happened at Barnsley. I'm just grateful to Barry Fry for giving me the chance to stay in this division and this will be an ideal move for me.'
