Barnsley will face Coventry City in the Third Round of the FA Cup after they defeated Danny Wilson’s former side Hartlepool in a Second Round replay last night.
Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Leon Clarke scored a brace, including an injury time winner to see off League Two Hartlepool who had equalised in the 88th minute.
It means there will be no reunion for Wilson and Hartlepool who he led from League Two in 2007, and there will be no return to Oakwell for Pools goal-keeper Scott Flinders who started his career at Barnsley and made 14 appearances for his hometown club between 2004 and 2006 before sealing a £1m move to Crystal Palace.
Barnsley have won just two of their last 15 meetings with Coventry and have conceded 31 goals in that time.
