Barnsley have taken Sheffield United youngster Kylie Nix on trial.
Nix came up through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane and has made two first team appearances.
Reds Boss Andy Ritchie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"We have had Kyle in with us from Sheffield United this week and he has looked excellent in training. Neil Warnock has been good enough to let us have a look at him and he has not looked out of place.
"We will have to wait and see whether he would be able to go straight into the team and it could lead to a loan or maybe something else. Kyle is a winger and he has looked sharp in training. He has quality and is good on the ball. We are keeping an open mind on things and he will train with us again next week before we make a decision".
