Former Reds midfielder Kevin Donovan is training with Rochdale where he has linked up with his former Grimsby boss Alan Buckley.
Dale joins Reds on-loan midfielder Gary Jones and ex-Reds Leo Bertos and Sean McClare at Spotland.
Donovan was previously training with former club Grimsby.
