Barnsley’s summer plans have again been hit by the news Jim O’Brien has turned down the club’s offer of a new two-year deal.
The 26-year-old Irishman who has scored eight goals in 133 appearances since arriving from Motherwell in 2010 is believed to want to stay in the Championship.
It means that all three of the first teamers offered new contracts- O’Brien, Stephen Dawson and Tomasz Cywka will leave the club when their current deal ends at the end of the month.
