Oldham Athletic manager Lee Johnson is now the bookies favourite to take the vacant managerial post at Barnsley, however nothing suggests the Reds have made a move for him yet.
The 33-year-old is one of the youngest bosses in the game having only retired from football in 2013. He spent large chunks of his career with Yeovil and Bristol City, playing under his father, and another possible candidate for the Reds job, Gary Johnson.
Meanwhile in the Reds' search for a new manager, Swindon Town have today rejected Barnsley's approach for their manager Mark Cooper. We reported last night that the Oakwell board had made a move for the 46-year-old but the high-flying Robins have turned down the Reds' advances.
It's never easy is it?!
