The Reds have, as expected, made their second Premier League loan swoop in two days and brought Norwich midfielder Korey Smith to the club.
The combative 20-year-old has signed on at Oakwell until February 25th, but he can play in the Reds' game at Coventry on that date.
Smith signed professional terms at Carrow Road in 2008, aged just 17, and made his first appearance for the Canaries in a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in 2009.
He was a regular starter in Norwich's promotion from League One in 2010, making 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring 4 goals. He was used more sporadically the following season, but still appeared more than 20 times as Norwich completed back-to-back promotions.
He joins Michael Tonge at Oakwell, who signed on loan from Stoke City yesterday.
