Full-back Rob Kozluk has been ruled out for two weeks after suffering a knee injury early in the 1-0 victory over Leicester last night.
“Kozzie” lasted just 17 minutes of his first appearance in a month and the club has now confirmed he will be out for a fortnight.
Reds boss Mark Robins told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"Rob came off injured in the first half after jarring his knee. He will probably be out for a couple of weeks and that does give us a bit of a problem as we will be missing Bobby Hassell as well but I am confident we have enough in the squad to cope".
Striker Daniel Bogdanovic is expected to be back in the squad for this weekend’s trip to Reading- a place he has already netted twice this season.
Bogdanovic- whose double helped The Reds knocked the Royals out of the Carling Cup back in August was omitted from the squad last night after starting the previous 12 matches. This fuelled rumours he is set for a move to Germany this month, but Robins claimed the Maltese man was merely injured.
He told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"Daniel has a bit of a knee problem but I fully expect him to be back in training with the rest of the squad on Thursday.
"We will assess him on Wednesday and Thursday morning but he should be ok".
