Reds owner Sean Lewis scotched rumours that Patrick Cryne and Peter Ridsdale had made a new bid for the club.
Lewis denies Cryne/Ridsdale link
Cryne and Ridsdale's appearance at Saturday's game fuelled more rumours but Lewis said: "In 38 years, I've not spoken to either of these men."
Meanwhile, Gudjon Thordarson has hit out at the ruling that has restricted him to only offering Rory Fallon, David Mulligan and Neil Austin week-to-week contracts.
All three were Oakwell academy graduates and out of contract in the summer but under a League directive they can sign for a week at a time.
"I don't think that's a healthy position," Thordarson stressed, "I don't think we are treating the youngsters in the right way."
