He made a total of 57 appearances for the Reds in all competitions and has played in all but one game this season.
He is set to be in the Birmingham City squad for Sunday’s match with Manchester City at Maine Road as cover for Ian Bennett.
Birmingham needed cover with Nico Vaesen out for six months with a knee ligament injury sustained against Aston Villa last week.
