Well the wait is over as The Reds get their pre-season programme underway tonight at Unibond Premier League side Buxton with a kick-off time of 7:30pm and then head to North West Counties League side Glossop North End tomorrow with a 3pm kick-off.
Three of Barnsley's four new signings will play some part in the two games. Iain Hume, Hugo Colace and Mounir El Haimour are expected to feature but Darren Moore will not as he continues to recover from a slight knee injury.
Istvan Ferenczi, Heinz Muller, Anderson De Silva and Michael Coulson (all injured) and Kayode Odejayi and Jamal Campbell-Ryce (recovering after international duty) will not feature either.
