Barnsley full-back Bobby Hassell has suffered another set back in his injury hit season which could rule him out for the rest of the campaign.
The 30 year old who has made over 200 appearances for The Reds since joining in 2004 made his first appearance for the club in two months in the 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace at the weekend after a calf problem but was forced off in the 70th minute with an injury now confirmed as ankle ligament damage.
Boss Mark Robins told the Sheffield Star:
“Bobby’s very doubtful for Saturday, it’s a big blow for us. He’s damaged ankle ligaments and he’s injured his calf again, so it’s not looking good.”
Fellow full back Kieran Trippier should though be fit to return.
