Goal-keeper Heinz Muller has finally completed his move to German Bundesliga new boys
.
Muller, who signed at Oakwell in the summer of 2007 for a fee of £150,000 from Lillestrom made a total of 69 appearances for The Reds, a figure that would have been higher but for a terrible cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered in January 2008 which kept him out for seven months!
Muller lost his place in the side back in April to Luke Steele and has now returned home. He will though forever be remembered by Reds fans for a series of outstanding performances including a spectacular 93rd minute penalty save that earned a 1-0 win against
Reds boss Simon Davey told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"Heinz has been given the opportunity to play in the German top flight and it was the right deal for Barnsley Football Club. It is a good deal for both the Club and for the player and we wish him well in the future".
